cosmoONE will provide e-Procurement services to PPC for two years, following an open tender procedure. The implementation of the project has already started with Online auctions already bringing significant benefits in terms of cost savings.
The project involves the provision by cosmoONE of e-Procurement services to PPC’s Materials Fuel Purchasing and Transportation Department and will be implemented on a nationwide level for seven hundred (700) users of the Corporation. It involves two services: e-auctions through the auctionONE service and electronic ordering (MarketPlace), through the procureONE service.
The e-auction service concerns holding fifty (50) procurement tender procedures. The first e-auctions have already been conducted in mid-June for the purchase of IT equipment with the participation of leading companies. Their total budget was over 2.5 million euros, while a total of over 600 bids were submitting resulting in 40% cost savings for the Corporation.
cosmoONE’s electronic ordering (procureONE) service includes configuration, tailored to the needs of PPC, implementation and support of the service for the creation, approval and placement of orders using electronic catalogs to contracted PPC vendors in line with the procedures implemented by the Corporation.
