cosmoONE: Proud sponsor of the Technological Vocational High School in Kalloni,Lesvos

As part of the annual mathematics student competitions organized by SENJA (Junior Achievement Greece) and by e-nnovation Junior 2012, cosmoONE was the technology sponsor for the Vocational High School in Kalloni, Lesvos offering specialist expertise in e-auctions, including the implementation a virtual auction for the sale of olive oil.

The Vocational High School in Kalloni, Lesvos created a complete and comprehensive business plan for a virtual enterprise entitled “Kalloni AgroCom” based on the idea of e-commerce and e-auctioning involving agricultural products and in particular olive oil. The proposal for the virtual enterprise “Kalloni AgroCom” was supported by a group of students led by Prof. Aristotelis Mavidis, participated in the National Student Competition E-nnovation Junior 2012 organized for the third (3rd) consecutive year by the Athens University of Economics and Business and won first place among twenty-five (25) total schools from acrossGreece. The aim of the competition is to promote junior innovation and entrepreneurship and educate high school students in the creation of business plans and in the possible implementation of digital services.

The virtual enterprise “Kalloni AgroCom” had also been awarded at the 2012 SENJA Competition for the best student virtual enterprise, held last March, where it won the “Green Growth” award from among thirty-six (36) virtual enterprises created by schools from across the country.

cosmoONE congratulates both the responsible professor, Mr Aristotelis Mavidis and each one of the thirteen (13) members of theVocationalHigh Schoolin Kalloni,Lesvoswho participated and worked on the implementation of the virtual enterprise with the hope that these awards will serve to encourage creative future plans.
