The first Online Auction for ALPHA BANK abroad took place on Wednesday, May 14, 2008, with absolute success.
cosmoONE Hellas MarketSite organized the auction in Belgrade on behalf of Alpha Bank Srbija AD.
The online auction was held in English and its object was the supply, installation and support of telecommunications equipment worth more than two (2) million USD.
The largest companies in Serbia were involved in the competitive process and were trained at the premises of ALPHA BANK Belgrade as well as supported by staff from both cosmoONE and the Bank.
The auction was held in two rounds and the benefits achieved were around 13% in the first and another 9% in the second round.
ALPHA BANK, through the Online Auction service, achieved cost reductions in the procurement of goods and services and broadened its base of suppliers and solutions provided.
According to Mr. Panagiotis Vlasiadi, President of the Executive Committee of Alpha Bank Srbija AD, «ôthe results were above expectations for the Bank, while the whole process was executed in an impeccable manner, which satisfied both staff and executives of the Bank, as well as suppliers».
