| cosmoONE participates in the European research project ARGUGRID Iraklion, 18/10/2006 Ç cosmoONE Hellas Marketsite Á.Å., a member of the OTE Group of companies, announced its participation in the research project «ARGUGRID» (www.argugrid.org), which has been incorporated in the 6th Framework Program (FP6) of the European Union, in the category «Advanced Grid Technologies, Systems and Services». The project ARGUGRID («ARGUmentation as a foundation for the semantic GRID») aims to create a new model for the formulation, planning, allocation and use of resources and services of the Computer Grid (GRID), which will operate on a conceptual as well as a gnoseological level. This will be achieved through the development and use of technology based on «agents», is autonomous intelligent software programs, associated with and/or representing providers and users of services, which use rational arguments and technical «argumentation» to make decisions and negotiate with other agents. The models developed will be applied mainly in eBusiness eBusiness applications in order to prove their worth in real scenarios. The implementation of the project includes: the formation of virtual organisations to which agents belong, the creation of techniques to maximize the usefulness and benefits of resources and services, the use of web services, and the study of various architectural agents. The project, budgeted at more than 2,800,000€, involves a total of five (5) academic institutions and three (3) companies from Europe and South East Asia and is coordinated by the «Imperial College of Science, Technology & Medicine» in London.
